Anna Rosa Krau

Duration: 3.07. - 30.9.2024

The works of art by Anna Rosa Krau can be seen in the exhibition areas 'Textile Technology' and 'The Net: People, Cables, Data Streams' in the German Museum of Technology.

Sustainability photographer, environmentalist and professor of sustainable processes in photography, based in Berlin.

Their focus is on the representation of "NATURE BEAUTY" and the "Beauty of Nature". She uses the physical nature of photographs and often decomposes the medium into its component parts, partially replacing toxic processes with plant-based or environmentally friendly alternatives. Her methodological approach is process-oriented, emphasizes co-creation and promotes a diverse authorship with the non-human world.

She works exclusively with brands that reinvest their profits in real regenerative change. Her poetic, painterly imagery is not only aesthetic, but also rooted in real-life activism and thorough research. Given the urgency of our time, it focuses on projects that promote coexistence and organic exchange within a "more-than-human cosmology"

Tanja Major

Duration: 03.06 - 30.11.2024

The artwork by Tanja Major can be seen in the exhibition area 'Papiertechnik' in the German Museum of Technology.

Tanja Major was born in Fürstenfeldbruck in 1971 and has been working as a freelance artist since 1997. Through her pioneering work, she researches the innovative transformation of fungi into paper fibers as a paper artist. Handmade mycovat it consists of almost 100% mushrooms and is therefore a "compostable or sustainable art" that can be returned to nature or the forest. It's about the fragility of nature, the fragility of life.

She is interested in a comprehensive understanding of the life cycles in which emergence and decay are interwoven. To discover different living beings and natural processes with a holistic view in which humans are (only) a part. Working with fungi can be seen as a symbiotic cooperation between humans and nature. Major has already exhibited in Israel, Korea, the United States, Tasmania, the Czech Republic and various locations in Germany.
